SCIENTIFIC ILLUSTRATION
is used in school textbooks, newspapers, scientific journals, essays, instruction manuals, statistics, advertising, web design or museums to display very complex or abstract information.
The images are made in a traditional pictorial or digital way using a computer or tablet with special programs (2D or 3D software). They can be processed with the mouse or on graphic palettes.
These techniques make it possible to obtain often realistic images that are intended to illustrate a specific theme or object.
INFOGRAPHICS
(information graphic or infographic) is a mix between graphic arts and computer science, it is used where dry data and information such as statistics must be represented in a simple and easy to read visual, graphic and / or dynamic way.

MUSEUMS AND INSTALLATIONS
Thanks to the foresight and investments in heritage culture and landscape protection of the Autonomous Provinces of Bolzano and Trento, as well as the neighboring provinces such as Verona with the aim of encouraging the dissemination of knowledge and enhancing the history of the territory, the landscape, fauna and flora, so that various museum projects and permanent installations are realized.
They are often very demanding and complex jobs and cannot be done alone. With the help of illustrator colleges: Susanna Addario, Sara Segato and Alessandro Baldanzi, the most complex images are developed in synergy and collaboration.

GRAPHIC DESIGN
It is true that first love is never forgotten!
Trained and graduated as a typographer in Graphic Arts at the "FERRARI AUER", ATHESIA of Bolzano, the passion for graphics and design has remained unchanged. Sometimes it happens that the opportunity arises to develop some logo, a corporate identity, a poster or a website for a client.
With the participation in the Christmas Market in the heart of Bolzano City from 2003 to 2012, very accurate images of architecture, fauna, flora and costumes related to the territory of South Tyrol were processed and souvenirs were produced for artistic stationery such as: prints, greeting cards, mugs, magnets. They found a pleasant response from the public visiting the Christmas Market in Bolzano.
Here are some examples of the images and souvenirs produced.
MEDIA & MATERIALIEN
Traditional tchniques used in illustrations:
pencil, colored pencils, ink, chalks, watercolors, tempera, acrylic colors, airbrush. The immediacy of the stroke and the application of the color brings great artistic value to the image. The support on which it is processed has great weight giving a particular typicality to the overlying design. With the digital age, computer work is carried out by processing images in raster, vector or 3D format
The raster image: In raster graphics the image is seen as a chessboard and each element of the chessboard, called a pixel, is associated with a specific color defined by a combination of three components: RGB.
Vector images: Radically different from raster graphics, the vector image is described by means of a set of geometric primitives that define points, lines, curves and polygons to which they can be attributed as style, size or homogeneous color or shades. • It has the very important advantage of being able to be enlarged as desired without loss of print quality.
3D modeling and rendering:
This technique is more related to the production of videos and animations.
However, you can create great effect static images with it.
